Our aim is to make these articles as short as possible - you will be able to find longer explanations by Googling, or on Youtube.
In order to get started with us, you will require the following:
1) A bitcoin address (it will start with a 1 or a 3, and be about 30+ characters long)
2) A valid bank debit card with your digits hidden (we use this for ID purposes)
3) A valid UK Driver's licence or passport
4) A working bank account
5) A little patience
For complete beginners - we have to add here that it is impossible for anyone (including us) to access or use your bitcoins just because we have your bitcoin address.To learn more about bitcoin itself and the technology behind it - just google, or wiki.
Verification:
It will usually take us a few hours or days to verify your ID details, so please be patient as we work through our queue. You can find out how to submit your documents online by going to the verification page for new customers.
Buying:
Once you have been verified, you are able to go to the buy bitcoin page. Here you can submit your initial amount that you want (above our minimum value), your bitcoin address, and your bank details. The exact number of bitcoins your address will receive is shown on this page.
Once you have done this - please press the Get My Bitcoins button to proceed to the following page, where you will find instructions on how to then manually transfer over your funds from your own bank. Please note the reference number we quote exactly
Send Payment:
Our customers usually do this via their own Internet Banking website - e.g. www.hsbc.com or www.natwest.com etc.
YOU MUST ONLY USE YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT. We cannot take payments from your family, your closest friend, your dog, or your favourite cat.
You will log in there as usual - most likely with your password and security dongle, and then make a payment to a new person - just use the details that you see on the CoinCut instruction page - and don't forget to input the CoinCut reference exactly. This is very important.
After the payment has left your account, go back to the CoinCut page and press the "Payment Made" button so we are aware of your payment. This payment must be made within 30 minutes of you getting the order details on our website.
Waiting for funds to clear:
Our bank currently operates on working weekdays only (Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm), processing in 2 hour intervals.
It can take longer depending on how fast their system is.
Receiving bitcoins:
When the payment has cleared into our account (see above for how long it takes), we will then transfer the bitcoins to the address you've specified.
